Last Laugh Presents brings Oscar Wilde’s dazzling comedy of manners to life in this lively Reader’s Theatre production. The Importance of Being Earnest follows two charming bachelors who invent elaborate alter egos to escape social obligations, only to find themselves tangled in a web of romance, mistaken identity, and razor-sharp wit. With minimal staging and a focus on performance and language, this production highlights Wilde’s brilliant dialogue while blending the liveliness of live theatre with the cozy intimacy of an audiobook.
Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets to get cozy! Refreshments will be provided.

While in school, she was honored to receive the distinction of Hearst Fine Arts Scholar, semi-finalist in the KCACTF Irene Ryan competition, and to be inducted into Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theatre Honor Society. Kristin believes in the transformative power of acting and the gift it is to see the world through another's eyes. She was recently seen on the boards of The Parker Theatre as Cecily Cardew in the 2024 production of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest. It’s been such a delight working with this fun group for the production of The Woman in Black and bringing the vision to life.

While our improv shows celebrate the thrill of making stories in the moment, Last Laugh Presents explores the power of carefully crafted plays brought to life by dedicated performers. From classic works to unique theatrical events, these productions focus on sharp storytelling, lively performances, and the shared experience of live theatre. Whether the words are discovered in the moment or written long ago, our goal remains the same: to create performances that feel alive, engaging, and memorable.
